PepperDash was instrumental in the successful launch of the Wharton School/Cisco Connected Classroom, demonstrated at a press event on February 25, 2013. The Connected Classroom initiative is a production telepresence environment designed to merge two distant classrooms into a single learning environment, providing students and faculty in both locations a fully interactive and realistic experience. Attendees raved about the life-size “virtual” professor projected at the front of the remote room, and the ability of students in both locations to see and converse with each other, as if they were seated in the same room. PepperDash provided software and network consulting services, as well as Crestron control programming for the system. A team of PepperDash executives and programmers attended the SRO event, held simultaneously in Philadelphia and San Francisco, along with Cisco and Wharton School executives, press and invited dignitaries.
